GOLF COACH

Kyle
Frakes serves as the head men's golf and assistant men's basketball
coach at Rollins.
As
the assistant men's basketball coach, Frakes has been part of the
program for 16 years. He has helped head coach Tom Klusman and the
Tars win four Sunshine State Conference regular season championships.
In 2004, under the guidance of Klusman and Frakes, the Tars reached
the NCAA Division II Elite Eight for the first time.
The
men's golf coach at Rollins for 13 years, Frakes has led the Tars
to seven NCAA Tournament appearances, including the 2002 NCAA Championship
and a second place finish in 2003. The Tars finished third in 1997
and fourth in 1995 and 2001. He has been named the Sunshine State
Conference Coach of the Year four times and the NCAA Division II Coach
of the Year twice. Since 2000, nine of Frakes' golfers have
been nominated to the various All-American teams.
An Orlando native and
a graduate of Lake Brantley High School, Frakes attended the University
of Florida and Rollins and earned a degree in Liberal Studies from
SUNY-Albany in 1989.
