Teaching Positions in China Business & Management
Now hiring qualified faculty for teaching positions IN CHINA for U.S. regional-accredited bachelor's degree completion programs (Bachelor of Science in Management).
Qualifications: A successful applicant must be a native English speaker who holds at least a Master's degree or Ph.D. in the appropriate discipline of Business and Management. Moreover, the teaching experience in the US and overseas is also required.
We provide airfare to and from local teaching locations, including Tianjin, Xiamen, Kunmin and Wenzhou as well as campus housing during the teaching period. Salary is subject to individual qualifications. A faculty contract must be signed prior to each teaching assignment. Courses begin year-round. Each course consists of 45 instruction hours over a period of 4 weeks; each assignment requires the instructor teaching at least two courses over a period of one month. Part-time (1 or 2 months) and full-time (1 or 2 semesters) based are both invited to join.

Salary, Flights, and Per Diem
Salary: $3,000 per section. No additional taxes collected. Personal reporting in EU or US.
Payment at the end of last class by SUFE (Shanghai University of Finance & Economics).
Per diem $30.00 per day in RMB, local currency.
Flight Paid by joint program, economy class.
English language assistance from Chengdu University of Electronic Science and Technology (UESTC)
Apartment includes bedroom, kitchen, shower, TV, DVD
Maid service is RMB 300 (from per diem) month/2X week. Includes cleaning, washing, ironing.
Tools
Experience with use of PowerPoint and other graphics. Recent cases citing Asian or global business situations.
Classes
Shanghai: 2 sections classes with 2 different groups every Saturday, 8:30 am until 4:30 pm including 1-hour lunch break.
Shenzhen: 1 section class is held on alternative Sunday for the same group, 8:30 am until 4:30 pm including 1-hour lunch break.

CIEE is currently seeking qualified faculty to teach at each of the CIEE Study Centers in the Fall 2007, and 2007- 2008 Academic Year in China.
Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization dedicated to helping people gain understanding, acquire knowledge, and develop skills for living in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world. Founded in 1947, CIEE has developed a wide variety of programs and services primarily for students and teachers at secondary through university levels. Requirements
Each course meets for total of 45 hours each term in a period of 14-16 weeks. All faculty will be expected to take part in some program activities and lead 2-4 local excursions as part of each course.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR ADJUNCT FACULTY:
- PhD or ABD status in a related field
- Fluency in English
- Experience teaching university students with a demonstrated track record of teaching excellence
- Interest in teaching students about their surroundings in China and utilizing local cultural and historic resources as part of each course
- Interest in performing independent research while in China
SALARY/BENEFITS:
CIEE offers a competitive salary, insurance (if necessary), and housing (for visiting overseas faculty teaching on the program for one academic year).
All chosen candidates receive compensation of US$4000 per course. Preference will be given to faculty that commit to 10 or 24 months teaching on a given program and currently live in China. Faculty may have the opportunity to renew their agreements while teaching on the program.
