Join the Drive for 55 TODAY!

The “Drive for 55” Annual Fund campaign is speeding toward the finish line! With only two months remaining we need your help to increase our alumni percentage of giving - it only takes 55 people to increase the percentage of alumni participation in the annual campaign by 1%.  Gifts of $55 or higher will receive a navy ‘Rollins MBA’ polo.  Not only will your gift support student scholarships, it will also impact Crummer’s national and international rankings. 

 

To date over 450 people have contributed to the Drive and are wearing their new Rollins MBA polo shirts all over the world!  Where does your program fit in?

Dr. Barry Render’s Last Lecture

Celebrate Dr. Render’s successful career as he presents his last lecture at the Crummer Graduate School of Business.  For over 20 years, Dr. Render, Harwood Professor of Operations Management, has taught students at the Crummer Graduate School. During his 40 year career he has authored more than 100 articles in business and academic journals, and over 40 textbooks. Prior to joining the faculty at Rollins, Dr. Render taught at other top universities and worked for some of the country’s top companies, including G.E., McDonnell Douglas, and NASA.

BB&T Chairman Speaks at Crummer
In March, the Center for Leadership Development welcomed BB&T Chairman, John Allison, to campus.  Mr. Allison spoke to EAMBA students and guests about Principled Leadership at BB&T Bank, as well as how to apply these principles to their professional and personal life.  Mr. Allison received very positive feedback from those in attendance.  Watch the presentation online!



SunTrust Distinguished Leader of Merit Announced

The Center for Leadership Development announced this year’s SunTrust Distinguished Leader of Merit recipient on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at the Citrus Club. The SunTrust Distinguished Leader of Merit is awarded to the EAMBA student who meets certain program requirements and best demonstrates exceptional development as a leader. This years winners are as follows:

SunTrust Distinguished Leader of Merit: Whitney McDonald

SunTrust Leaders of Merit: Elizabeth Ibarra and Ashlee Weisser

SunTrust Leader of Merit Finalists: Libby Acomb and Hannah Walsh



Crummer Hosts Venture Plan Competition

The Center for Entrepreneurship and the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO) at Crummer held the 5th annual Venture Plan Competition during March. Eleven teams comprised of current MBA students and alumni competed in the semi-finals. Four teams proceeded to the finals and places were awarded as follows: First: City-State Technologies, Inc. by Chris Bongiovanni '07MBA, Second: Shustring Miami, LLC by Russell Fritz, Third: CreationCastle.com by Shane Cleveland and Lyubomira Mavrodieva, and The Green Prize: SmartNRG by John Kramer '08MBA, Mark Hormann, and Tim Mosleth.



Crummer Graduate School to Provide Full Scholarship to Nonprofit Executive

In partnership with the school’s Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership Center, the Crummer Graduate School of Business annually provides funds for the Martin Bell Scholarship to be awarded to a senior-level executive of a nonprofit organization. If you know someone in the Central Florida nonprofit community who would be a candidate for this scholarship please share with them this press release or direct them to Executive MBA Program Director, Jana Allan, at 407-646-2210
