Dear
Kate,
Despite what the world has been facing, this
has been a surprisingly good year for the Crummer
Graduate School of Business. For that, we
have you to thank. Your involvement and your
generosity have made a difference for your
school. Because of you, there has been a
marked increase in participation in the annual
fund campaign; there are more mentors to young
students; and more involvement and attendance at
alumni events.
Below is a recap of what the Alumni Board
and the Office of Alumni Relations have
accomplished this year with your support, as well
as a glimpse into what you can expect in the
coming
months.

"The Drive for
55"
Thanks to the support of the Alumni, the
Annual Campaign - this year called the "Drive for
55" - brought in a higher level of alumni
participation than the school has seen in the past
5 years. For those of you that missed the

more Crummer alumni to the Rollins College campus
than any event in recent memory. Professors J.

economic situation and how the country and the
world reached the point of crisis. This
conversation was shown live online. If you
would like to view it, click
here. Dr. Barry Render's Last
Lecture was the first in a new
series that invites students, alumni, faculty, and
staff to honor a retiring professor of the Crummer
Graduate School of Business. Dr. Render's
lecture, filled with memories and humor, was
attended by close to 200 people. To see the

Social
Networking
With 33% of all Crummer Graduates coming from
the years 2000-2009, the alumni office has begun
to embrace social networking sites, specifically
LinkedIn and Facebook. As of today,
on Facebook, "Crummer Grad" has 775 friends who
are alumni and current students, and the "Crummer
Alumni Association" page has 577 fans. If
you're a member of Facebook, become a fan and a
friend.
LinkedIn has a professional social networking
approach and the Crummer Alumni Association group
now has 907 members who are alumni, students,
faculty, and staff.
Access to the group on LinkedIn is free,
completely optional, and is available only to
select members of the Rollins community. Members
of the group have been confirmed by Alumni
Relations & Development staff as members of
the Rollins MBA Crummer Graduate School
community.
These two options offer new ways to connect
to other alumni as well as remaining in contact
with the Crummer
School. |
