Craig M. McAllaster, Ed.D., Joins OUC Governing Board ORLANDO – Craig M. McAllaster, Ed.D., the dean of the Roy E. Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College, has been appointed to serve a four-year term on the governing board of OUC—The Reliable One. The OUC Board nominated Dean McAllaster at its December 9 meeting, and the Orlando City Council confirmed the nomination December 15. Dean McAllaster succeeds Tommy Boroughs, who will have completed eight years of service on the OUC board when his term expires Dec. 31. “Craig McAllaster is a proven leader in our community. His extensive business expertise will be an excellent addition to the board and will serve OUC and our customers well,” said OUC General Manager and CEO Ken Ksionek. Dean McAllaster spent more than a decade working for Consolidated Foods, AVX Corporation and Loral Corporation in executive positions. He has served on the faculties of Alfred State College, Cornell University and the University of Central Florida. In addition to his work in executive training and coaching, Dean McAllaster has worked with a wide variety of corporations and governmental agencies including: New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, National Science Foundation, Consolidated Edison, Pacific Gas & Electric, Mobil, IBM, Reader's Digest, Aramark, Xerox, Monsanto, Allied Waste, AT&T, Texaco, Black & Decker, TRW and Brunswick Corporation. He is a member of the BankFIRST board, the AACSB International Initial Accreditation Committee, the Nemours Council and the National Association of Corporate Directors. He was recently President of the Southern Business Deans Association and has served on the board of directors of CNL Hotels & Resorts and the board of managers for the Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Testamentary Trust. Active in the Central Florida community, he has been involved with Junior Achievement, Manufacturers Association of Central Florida, the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce, Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, Metro-Orlando International Affairs Commission, Central Florida Partnership and MyRegion.org. Dean McAllaster earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona, an M.S. degree from Alfred University, and M.A. and doctorate degrees from Columbia University. Established in 1923 by a special act of the Florida Legislature, OUC—The Reliable One is the second largest municipal utility in Florida. OUC provides electric and water services to more than 254,000 customers in Orlando, St. Cloud and parts of unincorporated Orange and Osceola counties. ##
