Rollins College Crummer Graduate Board of Overseers Elects New MembersWinter Park, Fla. – The Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business Board of Overseers recently elected the following new members: Peter C. Barr, Jr., president and chief executive officer, Fry Hammond Barr; and Donald R. Dizney, chairman of the board, United Medical Corporation. The Crummer Board of Overseers, comprised of local and international senior corporate executives, advises the dean of the school and serves as ambassadors for the Rollins MBA program. “Our newest board members bring a wealth of leadership experience to the board,” said Dr. Craig McAllaster, dean of the Crummer School. “We are honored that they will contribute their expertise and guidance in this time of increasing change in the business world.” As an Orlando native, Barr’s responsibilities at Fry Hammond Barr include agency leadership and management and community involvement. He joined Fry Hammond Barr over 18 years ago as an account executive. He has managed many accounts and has played a key role in new business and the constant evolution and growth of the agency. After graduating from Florida State University with a degree in advertising, Barr began his career with Orlando Sentinel Communications. His many jobs included zoned publication account executive, sales presentation specialist and retail account executive. His current board involvement includes Central Florida Fair, Central Florida YMCA, North Orlando Kiwanis, Workforce Academy, The Salvation Army, Red Cross of Central Florida, Workforce Central Florida and Ronald McDonald House. Dizney is chairman of the board of United Medical Corporation, which owns and operates a chain of acute care and behavioral health hospitals throughout the Southeastern United States and the Caribbean. United Medical Corporation has been one of the top 10 privately held companies in Central Florida since 1978 and celebrated four consecutive years as No. 1. In addition to his role at United Medical Corporation, Dizney is Chairman of Double Diamond Farms, Inc. a 425-acre thoroughbred nursery and equine training and racing facility located in Ocala, Fla. Dizney is active in numerous community and professional organizations including Steward of The Jockey Club; past chairman of the University of Central Florida Foundation; president (four terms) of the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owners’ Association; past director of the Orlando Museum of Art; past president and chairman of the Florida Citrus Bowl; past director of the Orlando Chamber of Commerce; partner, U.S.F.L., Tampa Bay Bandits and managing general partner of the Orlando Renegades and the Orlando Predators, Arena Football League. The Crummer Graduate School of Business was founded in 1957 at Rollins College.
