Crummer School Hosts Forum on ChinaThe Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College is proud to present an international forum entitled “China: Economic Growth and Social Change” on Wednesday, May 5, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the SunTrust Auditorium, Crummer Hall, on the Rollins campus. Parking is available in the SunTrust parking garage adjacent to campus, and the event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served immediately following the forum. Chinese business and culture are fast evolving. This forum brings together a panel of five experts to examine the changing economic and social trends and new developments taking place in China: Le Lu, dean of Shanghai-New York International Language Institute and the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, will present “Culture as an element of advertising in China.” Donald Rogers, professor of international business at Rollins College and an internationally recognized expert on the relationship between human resource management and organizational effectiveness, will speak about “Globalization, American jobs and the Chinese experience.” Sangita Patel, an attorney with Baker & Hostetler LLP, who has substantial experience advising companies in international law, will present “Socio-political considerations in entering the Chinese marketplace.” Robert L. Moore, professor of anthropology at Rollins College, whose research includes cultural changes and emerging youth cultures in Hong Kong and The People’s Republic of China, will speak about “China’s contemporary youth culture.” Yusheng Yao, professor of history at Rollins College, and an expert in the field of educational radicalism in The Republican China, will present “Current educational reforms in China.” The Crummer Graduate School of Business was founded in 1957 at Rollins College and is ranked by Forbes magazine as among the best business schools for return on investment.
