Rollins MBA Alumni Couple Funds Classroom RenovationThe Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business is proud to announce that it has received a $150,000 commitment from a local alumni couple to fund major classroom renovations. Gregory and Dorothy Clendenin, 1998 graduates of the Rollins Executive MBA program, made the generous gift. A portion of the Clendenins’ gift will be used to make immediate technology and facility improvements which will bring the room in line with other “Smart Technology Classrooms” on campus. The remainder of the gift will be set aside for future maintenance and upgrades. The newly-refurbished classroom, room 108, will bear the title “Greg and Dorothy Clendenin Lecture Hall.” “Greg and Dottie’s gift will create a classroom that will rival facilities at top nationally-ranked business schools. Many students attend classes in this lecture hall, and this generous gift will enable students to cultivate their skills in a state-of-the-art classroom setting,” said Dr. Craig McAllaster, dean of the Crummer School. The Clendenins met while attending MBA classes at Rollins College. The two dated during the program and were married shortly after graduation. Greg Clendenin was president and chief executive officer of Middleton Lawn and Pest Control, Inc., an Orlando-based operation, ranked as the 20th-largest pest control business in the country, until recently, when Middleton was acquired by Sunair Electronics. After the acquisition, Greg was named CEO for Sunair Southeast Pest Holdings. |
