Crummer Graduate School Board of Overseers Elects New Members

The Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business Board of Overseers recently elected the following new members: Deanne Gabel, Class of 1999, regional vice president resort operations, Fairfield Resorts Operations; Leila Jammal Nodarse, president and chief executive officer, Nodarse & Associates, Inc.; Charles “Chick” Gregg, Class of 1992, president and chief operating officer, The Greater Construction Corporation; and R. Randall Lyon Jr., Class of 1971 and 1972, president, Xentury City Development Company.

The Crummer Board of Overseers, comprised of local and international senior corporate executives, advises the dean of the school and serves as ambassadors for the Rollins MBA program. “Our newest board members bring a wealth of leadership experience to the board,” said Dr. Craig McAllaster, dean of the Crummer School. “We are honored that they will contribute their expertise and guidance in this time of increasing change in the business world.”

Deanne Gable is regional vice president of resort operations for the Florida Caribbean Region for Fairfield Resorts, a Cendant company. She began her career on Maui in Hawaii with Intercontinental Hotels and has worked with United Airlines, Prince Hotels of Japan, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, The Millennium Hotel and Conference Center in New York City, and most recently with Walt Disney World. Primarily focused on hospitality, she has worked in the capacity of project lead on several business initiatives. Deanne is a graduate of the Rollins Executive MBA program where she earned leadership awards from both the faculty and the dean of the business school.

Leila Nodarse has been an active member of the Central Florida engineering community for more than 20 years. In 1991, she founded Nodarse & Associates, Inc., a full-service geotechnical, environmental and construction materials testing consulting firm that has grown to more than 150 employees in seven Florida offices. Nodarse has an extensive record of community and government involvement, including an appointment by Govenor Jeb Bush to the nine-member High Speed Rail Authority in 2000. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida.

Chick Gregg is responsible for managing the daily operations at The Greater Construction Corporation, including managing commercial rental properties, land development and construction of homes. He is a member of the Seminole Community College Foundation Board of Directors. Gregg has received the distinguished alumnus award from the University of Florida, where he earned his undergraduate degree. He also holds an MBA degree from Rollins.

Earlier this year, Randy Lyon was named president of Xentury City Development Company. Previously, he served as regional president of The Ginn Company where he developed the highly successful Reunion Resort and Club of Orlando. He also previously served as president and chief executive officer of Lake Nona Property Holdings, L.L.C., which owns and operates Lake Nona, a 6,900-acre master planned development in Orlando. Globally, Lyon has led major resort and residential planned communities in California, Hawaii and Australia. A dedicated community volunteer, Lyon was chosen to chair the Urban Land Institute-Orlando, and he serves on the board of directors for the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce, Orlando/Orange County Convention and Visitors Bureau, WMFE, Orlando Regional Healthcare Foundation and the Central Florida YMCA. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and an MBA degree, both from Rollins College.
