Crummer School Appoints a Pastor and Attorney to Teach Ethics CourseThe Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business is pleased to announce the appointment of Orlando Rivera, Class of 2005, and Blair Jackson as adjunct faculty members. The pair will teach a course titled “Legal, Ethical, and Social Issues in Business.” The course concentrates on the application of corporate principles or values that govern appropriate behavior in business activities and advocates a philosophy that “doing good and doing well” are not mutually exclusive. The faculty challenge the MBA students to consider their role in creating an ethical organization that honors people while meeting its financial performance objectives. Rivera is the pastor of the Hub Church in Orlando. He is a graduate of the Reformed Theological Seminary and the Crummer School. Currently, he is pursing a Ph.D. in organizational leadership from Regent University. Rivera believes that the integration of business and values create an opportunity for responsible stewardship of financial, human and environmental resources. Jackson is an attorney with his own firm located in Orlando. His areas of concentration are criminal defense and civil litigation. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University in Quebec, Canada, and a Juris Doctor degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. In addition to his law practice, Jackson is currently an adjunct professor at the Barry University School of Law. The Crummer Graduate School of Business was founded in 1957 at Rollins College.
