Wachovia Corporation Sponsors Facility Renovations for Business Students

The Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College is proud to announce that it has received a $100,000 commitment from Wachovia Foundation to fund major classroom renovations. These classroom refurbishments and technology upgrades will keep the Crummer School at the cutting edge of business education.

Wachovia Foundation’s generous donation made it possible to transform an existing classroom into a high-tech lecture hall with dual-projection systems and advanced Internet capabilities. With more seating capacity, the classroom can now accommodate 40 students and enable each student to have a high level of interaction with fellow classmates and professors. The refurbished classroom, room 318, now bears the title “Wachovia Lecture Hall.”

“An increasing enrollment of students created the need for a classroom that could comfortably seat 40 students and maintain a high-quality learning environment,” said Dr. Craig McAllaster, dean of the Crummer School. “The Wachovia gift enables students to cultivate their skills in a state-of-the-art classroom setting that rivals that of other top business schools.”

Wachovia Foundation is a private foundation funded by Wachovia Corporation. The Foundation provides grants in the areas of education, community and economic development, and quality of life. Formed by the 2001 merger of Wachovia and First Union Corporation, Wachovia Corporation is the nation’s fourth-largest banking institution with headquarters in Charlotte, NC.
