At Rollins we are dedicated to
scholarship, academic achievement, creative accomplishment, cultural
enrichment, social responsibility, and environmental stewardship.
We value excellence in teaching and rigorous, transformative
education in a healthy, responsive, and inclusive environment.
In keeping with these values, our office strongly encourages our
student to participate in The Rollins College Student-Faculty Summer
Research program. This program is supported by the Dean of the
College of Arts
and Sciences for the express purpose of involving students in a
close collaboration with faculty. During the summer months, students
in this program live on campus and work with a faculty
mentor. Students become eligible to participate after their
freshman year. In addition to the Summer Research Program,
opportunities abound for research with faculty mentors all year
round. In order to compete successfully for prestigious
scholarships, sustained research with faculty mentors is a very
essential activity.
