Hurricane Preparedness
In Florida, the annual hurricane season runs from
June 1 to November 30, and it is a time to be prepared
both on campus and at home. Should a storm threaten
Central Florida or another emergency affect the College,
members of the Rollins community should continually
monitor the Web site for the most current information.
Faculty, staff and students will also receive campus information via e-mail. These communications will keep
you informed of developments at Rollins such as class
cancellations, event schedules and closures. Local
television and radio broadcasts will also provide
updates on College operations.
In the event of an emergency, the Rollins College
Emergency Preparedness Plan will be activated to ensure
the safety of the campus. At the direction of the
Emergency Operations Team, information will be
disseminated to members of the Rollins community,
including employees and students, as well as to the
Central Florida community.
Students who may be forced to evacuate or
temporarily relocate during a hurricane or other
emergency can notify the College of their new location
and contact information by utilizing the Student Storm
Tracker.
