" "Great balance of self- realization with effect on the big picture!"
"Great class- very helpful and insightful. I would love for my whole team
to take this program." "Awesome! Incredible! Absolutely Beneficial!!" A
Pathway to Passion Ask yourself: Why do we leave our car windows
open a few inches when we come to work in the summer in Florida? The
surprising answer to this innocuous question launched our facilitator on a "Hero's
Quest" for fulfillment that has led him down an amazing path of self-discovery.
Having seen that you can "get there from here," he has come back to
serve as our guide. This workshop provides an integrated personal and organizational
model for recognizing and understanding individual passion, and embracing it to
enhance leadership effectiveness. An Epic Journey: Step by Step
Our journey starts with self exploration - Understanding self and others.
Using the RightPath4 Profile as a platform, we gain valuable insights into our
own behaviors and those of others we work and play with. (The vast majority of
participants find that the assessment "nails" them, capturing the essence
of their natural tendencies.) With this objective filter in place,
we probe into individual leadership behaviors and one-on-one interactions. Participants
receive a Trait Recognition tool, to aid in recognizing differences in behavioral
styles, as well as specific coaching tips on how to relate to different styles
and how to effectively adapt their own behaviors. Next we look at effective
team leadership. Participants review a model showing how teams develop from a
group of individuals through various stages to alignment and team success, with
Trust as a critical factor. We also develop an understanding of why Trust is such
a rare commodity in today's organizations and how effective leaders address this
shortage - by working on "Trust Builders" and eliminating "Trust
Busters". With the backdrop of deeper personal insight and enhanced
leadership awareness, we arrive at a critical moment in our quest - for many,
a "Leap of Faith." Participants are led through a simple but effective
exercise to conceptualize, articulate and record their Personal Passion Statement.
This deeply introspective pause becomes a defining moment for many participants
as they uncover truths about themselves previously buried. This personal
revelation is injected into an organizational context as the starting point for
a working model. This Passion Alignment Model combines four major roles across
four major phases in a matrix that maps an individual's journey to a place of
mutual fulfillment in the organization. An End With the Beginning
in Mind The closing is aptly called "The Beginning
"
as our guide leaves our participants with a fable of creation and discovery that
parallels their journeys thus far, inspiring them to dive deeper into their quest
to seize the rightful place for their "Passion in the Work-Life"
