Holt Tuition Grant Scholarship
- Scholarships are for new or returning college students, transfer students and current Holt students.
- Awards are disbursed over two or three terms (Summer/Fall/Spring or Fall/Spring).
- The Scholarship Committee will determine eligibility based on the information reported on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Awards are based on academic performance and financial need.
- Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA).
- Tuition awards vary.
Academic Merit Award
- For students exhibiting exemplary academic performance.
- Based on academic accomplishment, academic rigor and consistency, academic references, and leadership and service.
- Highly competitive.
- Awards vary depending on available funding.
EXCEL Transfer Scholarships
- For Associate of Arts (AA) graduates from Valencia Community College, Seminole Community Colleges and Daytona State College.
- Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement and leadership.
- Awards vary depending on available funding.
- Applicants must complete the Holt Scholarship Application and attach a cover letter stating why they merit an EXCEL award.
- If EXCEL applicants have financial need, they should follow the instructions provided for the Hamilton Holt Grant.
Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA)
- Available to current Organizational Communication majors
- Recipients must have completed one term in the Hamilton Holt School
- Recipients must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0
- This award is not renewable, but students may reapply.
NOTE: Scholarships must be used in full during the academic year for which they are awarded. If funding is available, these awards can be renewed if the recipients complete the required number of courses, maintain a 3.0 GPA, provide documented need and participate in at least one approved Holt volunteer activity each academic year. Students who receive tuition assistance from their employer do not normally qualify for scholarship. Those with extenuating circumstances, however, may apply with written explanation.
