Financial Assistance

Financial Aid

Financial assistance is available to graduate students eligible to receive federal loans through the William D. Ford Federal Direct Student Loans Program. Interested students are encouraged to call or visit the Financial Aid Office located in the Marshall and Vera Lea Rinker Building at the corner of Fairbanks and Park Avenues, telephone 407-646-2395. Counselors are available Monday through Friday by phone or on a walk-in basis from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Students may also call or visit the Holt School financial aid adviser by contacting the Holt School at 407-646-2232.

How to Apply for Financial Aid

  • Apply and be accepted to the graduate studies program.

  • Complete an online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at least two months prior to beginning the intended term or study. Forms can be found at http://www.rollins.edu/finaid/. Be sure to follow the instructions and list Rollins College, code 001515 as a recipient of the information. Do not mail any other forms with the FAFSA application. Allow six weeks for processing.

Hamilton Holt Scholarships

Depending on availability of funds, tuition awards may be available to new or current graduate students who have at least a 3.0 grade-point-average. All awards are based on academic achievement, academic promise, financial circumstances, and attempts to maintain a diverse student body. Students must apply each year for scholarship funds. The application deadline for current students is May 15th and for students beginning their first year of study, applications must be received by July 1st. Application

Graduate Assistantships

The Graduate Studies in Counseling program offers assistantships which cover courses taken during the fall and spring semesters. Assistantships are appointments held in various positions on campus. For first-year students, one assistantship is available. Application instructions are included on the position description. One graduate assistantship is available to a first year student and five assistantships are open to upper-level Graduate Counseling students (usually second year in the program). Students who are in the internship phase of their program are not eligible. Assistantships may require some training in the area of counseling in order to effectively meet position requirements. Solicitation of applications for graduate assistantships for upper-level students are announced in classes early each spring term. Occasionally, other departments make graduate assistantships available to counseling students and are advertised via e-mail message to students' Rollins email accounts.
