Peer mentoring program
Qualifications
Qualifications for those who wish to become a Peer Mentor:
- Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0
- Must be a current Hamilton Holt School student
- Must be able to make a one-year commitment
- Must have completed at least 12 semester hours at the Hamilton Holt School
- Must have completed at least one full summer, fall, or spring term in the program with a current peer mentor
- Must have a letter of recommendation from designated peer mentor
Many students have additional commitments beyond work and school. Please take a moment to consider whether or not you have such commitments that will prevent you from participating fully in peer mentoring. Below are some points to ponder prior to applying to be a peer mentor.
- Will you meet with your mentee, at a minimum, one hour per week?
- Will you be available to consult with your mentee beyond the one hour weekly minimum if necessary?
