CashPay provides a safe and convenient alternative way to receive pay via direct deposit. It is ideal for employees who do not have a traditional checking or savings account or do not want to have their pay deposited into their existing bank account. Employees selecting this option will receive a CashPay account through Bank of America and an automated teller machine (ATM) card. Once the account is set up, the employee’s pay will be deposited into their CashPay account each payday. Employees will have instant access to their pay using their CashPay card virtually 24 hours, 7 days a week at ATMs and pinned point-of-sale terminals.
Employee Features/Benefits:
Where Card Can Be Used
Employees may access their pay using
their CashPay card at any HONOR or PLUS ATM (or other regional networks
having a reciprocal agreement with HONOR for ATM processing such as pulse,
MAC, NYSE, STAR, tyme, and YANKEE 24). Additionally, employees may
make purchases with their CashPay card at select point-of-sale (POS) terminals
(must use a pin at the terminal) such as any retail, grocery, convenience
store, gas station or US Post Office, etc. displaying the HONOR or INTERLINK
signs.
Full Net Pay Available
Employees can withdraw their full
available balance at any time. To allow full access to net pay at
ATMs, the system enables employees to round up their withdrawal to the
next highest multiple of $5, $10, or $20 above the available balance, depending
on the size of bills dispensed at the particular ATM machine (overdrafts
deducted from next pay). Round-up is not allowed for POS purchases
or Western Union transfers.
ATM Dispense Limits
Since ATM owners determine how much
their ATMs will dispense per transaction (generally up to 40 bills), employees
may need to make more than one withdrawal to obtain the amount needed.
Most ATMs dispense $10 and $20 bills, therefore, up to $800 per transaction
can usually be obtained at most ATMs (some ATMs may dispense more
bills if they have a door that opens for retrieving the money that is “dropped”,
but these types of ATMs are not as common).
ATMs May Charge Conversion Fees
or Surcharges
The first ATM withdrawal per pay
period is free to employees. After the first withdrawal, employees
are charged a transaction fee as each transaction is posted. Additionally,
some ATM owners charge a “convenience fee” or “surcharge” when a “non-customer”
uses their ATM. CashPay account holders will NOT incur these additional
convenience fees when using any ATMs displaying the NationsBank, Bank of
America, VERSATELLER® or PRESTO sign.
Monthly Statement
Employees are issued a monthly statement
detailing all transactions and associated fees. Statements can be
mailed to a home address, post office box or company address.
Account Closing Procedures
Employees may contact Customer Service
to close their accounts at anytime. If no deposits (payroll) or withdrawals
occur for 60 days, the bank will assume the account should be closed and
will flag it as closed. Deposits made to closed accounts, which have
not yet been purged from the system, will automatically reopen the account.
However, the deposit will post the evening of the effective date.
Deposits cannot be made after an account is purged from the system (92
days).
