Printing policy in all Rollins and Crummer Computer Labs

In an effort to cut down on printing waste and cost as well as to demonstrate and promote ways to respect the environment, Rollins has adopted the following policies:

1. We purchase 100% post-consumer recycled paper in our labs.
2. All lab printers default to two-sided printing. This helps defray the added cost of post-consumer recycled paper.
3. Full-time students are provided a printing budget of 1000 pages for the school year. This figure was selected based on several years of analyzing printing usage with only about 5% of students exceeding this number. Part-time students may receive smaller allocations. Additional pages may be purchased online for 10 cents each.
4. All printers are set to ignore requests for multiple copies. Single copies should be requested and taken to a photocopier or the print shop for duplication.
