Certificate In Volunteer Management
Volunteer Managers Academy
In this new and improved two-day workshop designed to meet the needs
of the next generation of volunteer managers, participants will learn
techniques for recruiting, training, placing, retaining and rewarding
volunteers as well as ways to increase the teamwork with staff.
Participants will work on group exercises and use case studies to better
understand the concepts presented in the workshop. Upon successful completion
of the two sessions, volunteers will be awarded a Rollins College Certificate
in Volunteer Management.

Andrea Hendry
is Managing Partner of Smart Chicks Consulting LLC. Andrea has worked
in volunteer management throughout the community having sponsored
fundraising events, managed both small and large scale volunteer projects
of more than 1400 participants, and led a volunteer program of over
6000 regular volunteers. Andrea is a graduate of Rollins College and
is the current President of the Council on Volunteer Management. |

Emily Furlong
is the Senior Program Manager responsible for professional continuing
education for nonprofit organizations. She taught What You Should
Know About Starting a 501(c)(3) for six years. She is a founding
member of two nonprofit organizations and served as executive director
of one. Her nonprofit experience includes planning and development,
nonprofit and volunteer management, training, and board governance
in the fields of domestic violence, senior services, housing, and
emergency management. |
