Rollins Profiles
A sense of community is one of the many characteristics that makes
Rollins College special. Let us introduce you to a few of the
people who make up our community. Meet some of "R-People!"

Jennifer Browning
Assistant Director
Career Services
Where were you born or what city do you consider your hometown?
I was born in Seattle, Washington, but consider Troy,
Ohio, my hometown.
How long have you worked at Rollins?
I started working at Rollins in June 2004. My first
week on the job I went to a three-day conference in
Cocoa Beach. Not a bad way to start a new job!
What is the best part about working at Rollins?
I really enjoy getting to know the staff and students
at Rollins. Although I am new on campus, I have already
met some great people who have truly made me feel
welcome.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I like that I never know what to expect. The best
part about meeting with students is getting to know each
person. Everyone comes in to talk about career services,
but each person has a unique question, experience or
expectation, and that makes every appointment different.
Where is your favorite place to eat on campus?
I always enjoy chatting with Evelyn in the cafeteria,
but I really love the smoothies at
Dave's DownUnder!
What are some of your favorite Web sites?
I am always reading the latest news on MSN.com or
CNN.com. The fall 2004 semester, however, I found myself
checking weather.com frequently!
What are some of your favorite books?
I enjoy reading anything by John Grisham or James
Patterson.
How do you spend your free time or weekends?
I am still exploring Orlando and trying to find the
different "hot spots" around town. I've registered to
participate in Disney's half-marathon in January. At
thirteen miles, the half-marathon is about 10 miles more than I
usually run, so I spend much of my weekend time at the
gym. I also like to play volleyball and I am constantly
redecorating my apartment.
