Where were you born or what city do you consider your hometown?

I am actually from a farm in Kansas, but the closest town was Blaine, Kansas, unincorporated with a population of 40.

How long have you worked at Rollins?

I have worked at Rollins for three years.

What is the best part about working at Rollins?

It is a stimulating academic environment wrapped in natural beauty.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Meeting people from all over the world and hearing each person's unique story.

How would you describe the sense of community on campus?

I would describe our community as a group of people who care about education, the environment and each other.

What is one of your favorite movies?

The Shawshank Redemption is a favorite.

What are your hobbies or special interests?

I enjoy spending time weight training, power boating, cross-stitching and playing piano. 

How do you spend your free time or weekends?

My husband and I take our boat up the St. John's River and often stop at an island for lunch and a nature walk.

What is something most people might be surprised to learn about you?

I was the runner-up State of Kansas Free-Throw Champion in high school.  I can still make nine out of 10 free throws on a good day!
