Graduate Assistant/Hall Director
The Residential Life Office has an opening for a Graduate Assistant/Hall Director for the Spring 2010 semester with opportunity for reappointment for the 2010-2011 academic year. Our graduate assistant willserve in two roles:
- As a Hall Directoryou will live-in and supervise our apartment-style living hall, 4 RAs and a Hall Council. The HD will be able to develop general skills applicable to Residential Life and many other areas of Student Affairs including: residence hall management, student staff supervision, leadership development, budgeting, crisis intervention, advising, and program development.
- As a Graduate Assistant there will be a collateral assignment inthe area of staff development. This area works to create ongoing training and leadership opportunities for our undergraduate student staff.
Requirements - Each graduate assistant must be enrolled full-time in a graduate program at Rollins College or the University of Central Florida. Our graduate assistantships are designed for future Student Affairs practitioners. Priority will be given to those students enrolled in the M.A. Educational Leadership program at the University of Central Florida; Rollins graduate programs are also considered in our hiring.
Benefits:
- Annual stipend approximately equal to in-state (UCF) tuition costs at a nine-credit hour class load plus an additional $2000 stipend per semester.
