In a collaborative effort between the Student Government Association and the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, Arts and Science students, faculty, and the staff of Rollins can receive discounts at various shops and restaurants located on Park Avenue. The Park Avenue Platinum card started as an initiative to enhance the relationship between the college and the city. It allows users to receive discounts at the 45 participating locations.
The card costs $5 for students, faculty, and staff and comes with a booklet listing all participating locations, as well as the discounts they offer.
All participating vendors will have a sticker in their window informing card holders they accept Park Avenue Platinum. In order to receive your discount, you must have your card present.

SGA is working with Mears to bring you transportation charge accounts and provide a Safer Ride Alternative, and it costs nothing to open an account. Whenever you use Mears transportation instead of paying for the ride then and there you simply sign a receipt saying you took the ride and then a bill for total taxi rides is sent at the end of the month. You can have that bill sent home to your parents, charged directly to a credit card, or sent to your campus box. By having a charge account you are ensuring drivers they'll get paid - making you a more "preferred" customer.
Rates are: $3.75 for the first mile, $2.00 for each additional mile, and $0.44 per minute of wait time. This comes to approximately $2.50 per mile. Sedans can accommodate 5 people and vans can fit 7 people, all for the price of one!
