How long
is camp?
The traditional model is a 4-week session
in June and 4-week session in July. During the summer of
2009, Session A will run from June 8 through July 2 and
Session B from July 6 through July 31.

What
are the payment options?
You may pay by check or money order in
person or by mail. The Summer Day Camp Program only accepts Master
Card, Discover Card and American Express. Credit
Card payments and E-Check can only be made online by
visiting www.rollins.edu/finance,
select the Bursar link, select the Online
Billing and Payment System link, scroll down
and select Guest Payer Login link then
select Non-Credit Full-Year 2009-2010.
There is a 2.75% service charge for online Credit Card
payments. There is no service charge for using E-Checks.
What are the
age groups for the campers?
We have three age groups:
- Voyagers are children who have completed kindergarten
through 1st grade as of June 2009.
- Trailblazers are children who have completed 2nd
grade through 3rd grade.
- Pathfinders are children who have completed 4th grade
through 5th grade.
I have
a camper who is a sibling of a returning camper, when do I register
that sibling?
Siblings of returning campers can register
on the same date as the returning camper. Returning Campers
and Sibling may register online beginning March
11, 2009 starting at 5:30 p.m. Siblings
will need a R-Number (Rollins ID Number). To request
an R-number please fill out the R-number
Request Form as soon as possible. Please allow 24

Can
I register prior to the published registration date?
The system is blocked from receiving registrations
prior to the published date and time. Attempting to register
prior to the published time will delay your registration
process. ** Please note that the registration web site
is best accessed using Internet Explorer.
How
does the online registration process work?
Select the courses your camper would like
to attend. Make sure you choose two alternate courses per
time slot. This will expedite the registration process.
Visit the Summer Day Camp web site on the appropriate date
and click on the Registration Information link.
You will need your campers Rollins Identification Number
(R-number) and password (6-digit date of birth, MMDDYY).
You will need to know the Course Reference Number (CRN)
for the courses you would like your camper to attend. The
CRN number is located under the A/B columns on the Summer
Camp schedule. Courses will be removed as they are filled
to capacity.
How
do I register in person?
Registration may be done online (see the How
to Register page) or in person at the Summer Day
Camp Administration Offices located at 203
E. Lyman Avenue, Winter Park, Florida 32789. Computer
stations will be set up for parents and guardians wishing
to register their camper in person the date we open the
registration site. Office hours for online registration
is 5:30 p.m.to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11th for
Returning Campers and Siblings, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
on Saturday, March 14th for New Campers. For assistance

How many
courses can my camper take?
Four classes are required. Early morning
competitive tennis and swimming classes are optional for
Trailblazers and Pathfinders. We are offering these classes
in the morning to avoid the traditional afternoon rains.
What time
does the first and last class start and end?
Campers begin the first class promptly at
9:15 A.M. Campers conclude the day at 3:00 P.M. Morning
drop off is between 8:40 A.M. and 9:00 A.M. and pick up
starts at 3:05 P.M. (Note: Parents are strongly encouraged not
to arrive on campus until 3:00 P.M.)
Will
my camper receive first choice courses?
Course registration is first come, first
served. Please have alternate classes selected prior
to registration.
How
do I get on a Wait List for a course?
If a course has reached it's capacity and
you would like to put your camper on the Wait List for
that course, please contact the Summer Day Camp Administrative
Office at 407-646-2604.

Do
you offer before or after care?
Supervised Recreation is available to Rollins
College Summer Day campers. A professional staff and team
of counselors oversee all structured activities. This is
a great time for games, outdoor play and socializing. Supervised
Recreations fees and times:
- Early Bird Supervised Recreation (7:30 A.M.-9:00
A.M.)
- Night Owl Supervised Recreation (3:00 P.M.- 5:30
P.M.)
Supervised Recreation ends promptly at 5:30 P.M.
What
is the camper to staff (teacher and counselor) ratio?
The average ratio is 12 to 1.
Can my
camper bring lunch?
Lunch is included in the cost of tuition;
however, your child is welcomed to bring his/her own lunch,
and healthy snacks.
Will my
camper have a locker?
The College does not supply lockers. Backpacks
are the perfect accessory for your camper. However, we
do ask parents to make sure that the backpacks are not
over loaded or too heavy for the camper.
Can I visit
my camper during the day?
Yes. Arrangements must be made in advance,
please check in at Camp Base to receive your visitor badge.
(Note: The location of Camp Base will posted prior to the
start of Camp.)
