Leah Nedderman
Micro-Finance Specialist

Leah NeddermanLeah Nedderman is the director of social performance management and market research for Fonkoze, Haiti’s largest microfinance institution. In this role, she manages the institution’s monitoring and evaluation work, collecting data on Fonkoze’s clients—poor women living in rural Haiti—in order to assess the institution’s impact on their lives. Her expertise includes program design and monitoring for microfinance services, health and education programs, and livelihood protection programs for the “ultra-poor.” Nedderman has consulted to various microfinance institutions in Latin America and began her career in microfinance at Grameen Foundation, in Washington D.C.

Nedderman has published various articles and papers on human rights issues and cultural diversity. She holds master’s degrees in public affairs and Latin American studies from the University of Texas and bachelor’s degrees in English and sociology and from the University of Notre Dame. Nedderman speaks Spanish and Haitian Creole.
